Great opportunity to get an up close view of railroad history. It was enjoyable to walk through the old cars and see the massive engines. Glad we visited.Full review by Nancy D

Agree - only sensible way is to drive to Galveston. The museum is well worth the visit though, and Galveston itself is a great place to hang out. Lots of great restaurants, cafes and bars. Shame there's no direct public rail link but this is America after all where passenger rail is considered archaic and redundant. (Sorry - my bad - I come from Europe where the view is somewhat different - LOL)
