Adnan Syed has been resentenced for the 1999 murder of Hae Min Lee, a case that gained national attention after being featured in the "Serial" podcast.

Adnan Syed will not serve any more time for his first-degree murder conviction in the 1999 killing of Hae Min Lee, a Baltimore Circuit judge ruled Thursday.

The judge wrote that the subject of the ‘Serial’ podcast was “not a danger to the public and that the interests of justice will be better served by a reduced sentence.”
