An Israeli delegation will travel to the Gulf state of Qatar on Monday to hold talks on the continuation of the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as Israel's electricity minister announced he was cutting deliveries to the enclave.

A delegation from Israel is visiting Doha to restart negotiations on extending the ceasefire with Hamas, amid interrupted aid and electricity cuts. Significant differences remain on the proposed terms for long-term truce involving hostage exchange and Israel's withdrawal from Gaza.

Israel said that it would send a delegation to Qatar on Monday "in an effort to advance the negotiations" around the ceasefire in Gaza, while U.S.-designated terror group Hamas reported "positive signals" in talks with Egyptian and Qatari mediators on starting negotiations on the truce's delayed second phase.
