Thousands of people in North Texas are still without power Saturday afternoon, following the severe storms that swept through the region earlier in the day.

One person is dead and at least three are injured in Ellis County after severe weather swept through parts of North Texas early Saturday morning.

This weekend across North Texas, it will be cooler than earlier in the week, with rain chances lingering. Several weather warnings were in place early Saturday morning, prompting a ground stop at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
