An anesthesiologist accused of trying to kill his wife on a popular Hawaii hiking trail previously accused her of having an affair, which led to “extreme jealousy,” according to a temporary restraining order petition filed by his wife.

A judge ordered Gerhardt Konig to stay away from his wife and children after the doctor allegedly attempted to kill her on a hike in Hawaii. Konig was charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to push his wife off a cliff.

Gerhardt Konig is currently in police custody on an attempted murder charge after attempting to throw his wife Arielle Konig off a cliff in Oahu, Hawaii.
