As Houstonians woke up to heavy rain early Tuesday, weather officials warned of an increased risk for wildfire growth later in the day. The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for the Houston area from 10 a.

The Houston Fire Department is preparing for a possible wildfire outbreak in all areas along and west of I-45. However, some fire danger exists as far east as the I-45 corridor, following a Red Flag Warning issued on Tuesday.
