The Los Angeles City Council rejected former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley’s appeal on Tuesday to reinstate her title as the department’s head, leaving the public to wonder what’s next for the ex-chief.

LOS ANGELES − The Los Angeles City Council kept in place the firing of former Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, following the controversial removal of the chief that led the department through the firestorm that engulfed the region in January.

At a special meeting Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles City Council voted against Kristin Crowley's appeal to be reinstated as LAFD chief, after she was removed by Mayor Karen Bass last month. Jasmine Viel reports.
