The school announced Tuesday that it will be dropping from Division I all the way to Division III after the 2025-26 college sports seasons. The announcement comes a week after the school nearly beat Alabama State in the First Four.

The 2024-25 season saw Saint Francis reach March Madness for the first time since 1991, but the school has announced plans to drop to Division III.
