Authorities say a head-on collision Monday in eastern Oklahoma killed a Talihina man and hospitalized two other people.

LEFLORE COUNTY, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said a 39-year-old man is dead following a crash in LeFlore County on Monday. According to OHP's report, the crash happened on US-271 north of LeFlore Road about five miles south of Fanshaw in LeFlore County around 11:35 a.m. on Monday.

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 40, near Pebbly Road Tuesday afternoon. The victim was later identified as Robert Adkins, 65. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, this was in the eastbound lanes of I-40, and Atkins was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two Weleetka men are dead after their vehicle struck a tree in Okmulgee County. OHP says the crash happened Thursday around 12:30 a.m. on Old US-62 near Henryetta. Troopers say 24-year-old Austin Peavler and his passenger 32-year-old Dakota Baldwin were pronounced dead on the scene.
