The rain will continue off and on through Saturday in most parts of the county with a brief respite Wednesday, the San Diego office of the National Weather Service said.

More late season rainfall is headed toward San Diego this week, starting with some drizzle before another atmospheric river is expected to bring several days of wet, overcast conditions into the weekend.

The rain will begin falling early Tuesday and continue off an and through Saturday in most parts of the county with a brief break Wednesday.

Rainy weather will return to County this week, with heavier, wetter conditions than last weekend's showers and moderate winds expected by mid-week through the weekend, forecasters said Sunday.
