Washington D.C.'s famed blossoms, a gift of Japan in 1912, have begun blooming and are only step away from peak bloom, as per the NPS.

Cherry blossom trees are officially in full bloom in the nation's capital, according to the National Parks Service. Amid the chaos in the White House, the native Japanese trees will paint the city in a lovely pink hue for approximately two weeks.
