In November, MIT announced that students whose families make less than $200,000 will be able to attend tuition-free this fall. Similarly to Harvard, students whose families make less than $100,000 will pay nothing at all. Those income limits are from previous limits of $140,000 and $75,000 respectively.

Harvard is the latest elite school to announce that families with incomes of $200,000 and under will not pay tuition as a way to bolster diversity.

Harvard University announced it is now offering free tuition to students whose families make $200,000 or less per year. It also said Harvard College will be free for those whose families make $100,000 and under.
