The NTSB released a preliminary report on the close call at Chicago Midway, where a Flexjet plane crossed the same runway where a Southwest flight was coming in to land.

The National Transportation Safety Board on Tuesday released its first report on a close call at between a private jet and a Southwest Airlines plane that happened at Midway Airport last month.

A Flexjet pilot taxiing for takeoff Feb. 25 was blinded by sunlight and became disoriented on the airfield, confusing one runway for another as a Southwest plane was preparing to land, investigators say.
