South Korea's Constitutional Court overturned acting President Han Duck-soo's impeachment, reinstating the nation's No. 2 official as acting leader on Monday.

The legislature impeached Han Duck-soo in December, soon after impeaching President Yoon Suk Yeol for declaring martial law. Mr. Yoon’s fate is still unclear.

Han took over as acting leader from President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was himself impeached over his short-lived declaration of martial law in December. Following the ruling, Han returns to his acting president position immediately.
