As the final buzzer echoed through Rupp Arena, the Kentucky Wildcats celebrated more than just a dominant 31-point victory over LSU. The night marked the last home game for six senior Wildcats, and head coach Mark Pope took center stage to bid farewell to a passionate Big Blue Nation.

It was a special night inside Rupp Arena as the Kentucky Wildcats crushed the LSU Tigers to close out the home schedule while also saying goodbye to six special seniors who decided to come along for the ride in Mark Pope’s first season in Lexington.

All five of Kentucky’s seniors got in on the scoring action early, and the Wildcats ran away from LSU in the opening minutes for a blowout win in their home finale.

After beating LSU by 31 points in the home finale, Mark Pope and Kentucky‘s six seniors had a round of parting messages for the Big Blue Nation before walking off Cawood’s Court for the final time in 2024-25.

The Kentucky basketball team played their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday night as they took down LSU in dominant fashion. The Tigers led 2-0 early in the game, and they would never see a lead again.

Kentucky has dealt with a lot this season, especially when it comes to injuries. The Wildcats have been dealing with an inconsistent rotation thanks to those injuries, and it has caused unfortunate circumstances as the season has gone on.
