ALBANY — The UAlbany women’s basketball team went one step beyond on Monday. A year after being supremely disappointed with a semifinal exit from the America East Tournament, the Great Danes shook off a tight first half and shook off Maine, 49-41, in a semifinal game at Broadview Center.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WABI) - No. 1 UAlbany trailed No. 4 Maine, 23-20, at halftime of the teams' America East Semifinal, but the Great Danes stormed back in the second half to advance by a final score of 49-41.

The winner of Monday’s matchup at Broadview Center will play either No. 2 Vermont or No. 3 Bryant in Friday’s final.
