TCU women’s basketball guard Hailey Van Lith called winning the Big 12 Championship “a blessing” after helping the Horned Frogs defeat Baylor 64-59 on Sunday to secure the program’s first conference tournament title since 2005 and first-ever in the Big 12.

Tournament MVP Hailey Van Lith scored 20 points, including a key bucket with 48.8 seconds left, and top-seeded TCU beat No. 2 seed Baylor 64-59 on Sunday at the T-Mobile Center to win the program’s first Big 12 Championship.

After the game, former LSU star and current WNBA player Angel Reese sent a five-word message to Van Lith, who played all but one minute against Baylor and finished with 14 points, two rebounds, and two assists. "so proud of you sis!" Reese wrote in response to a photo of Van Lith holding the Big 12 trophy.
