Dustin Wolf seems to like playing the Montreal Canadiens. The Calgary Flames young goaltender stopped all of the xx shots he faced for his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over the Canadiens on Saturday.
Calgary is tied in the Western Conference standings with the St. Louis Blues (31-27-6), though the Flames hold two games in hand over the Blues. Utah (28-25-10, 66 points) is also within striking difference, though they were forced to settle for a single point Friday in a 4-3 overtime loss at Chicago.
GM Craig Conroy made no moves at the deadline, although it’s worth noting that he did pull off a big one at the end of January when he flipped Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko to the Philadelphia Flyers and got Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee in return. But that was it, as far as moves go.
