The New York Knicks are enjoying one of their better seasons in recent NBA memory, but a recent slump has the team looking for veteran help. Currently sitting at No. 3 in the Eastern Conference with a 40-23 record, a roster led by All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns is looking to reach their first Finals since the 1998-99 season.
The Knicks must also scheme Karl-Anthony Towns open with McBride handling the ball. The five-time All-Star needs to at least match his season average of 24.2 points per game in Brunson's stead. It'll help to stay out of foul trouble, as he scored just 12 points (3-of-13 FG, 1-of-6 3 PT) with five fouls against the Lakers.
Knicks guard Jalen Brunson will miss at least two weeks with an ankle sprain suffered in the team's OT loss to the Lakers, a much better outcome than what was initially feared.
