The COVID-19 vaccine has prompted more than 10 times as many reports of adverse symptoms than the measles vaccine.
Children may get the measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) vaccine instead, which also protects against chickenpox. For children, both the MMR and MMRV vaccines are given in two doses.
