In a sentencing hearing Friday, Superior Court Justice Patrick Hurley sentenced Eric Wildman, 38, to 10 years in prison. In response to President Trump’s latest round of tariffs this week on Canada, Premier Ford — a political conservative who once supported Trump’s policies but was re-elected last week on a campaign against Trump’s actions — vowed to retaliate with a 25% surcharge on electricity exports to Michigan, New York and Minnesota.

However, the company gets 11% of its power from neighboring Manitoba, which would be exposed to the Trump administration’s 10% tariff on electricity imports into Canada.
