COLUMBUS -- The Detroit Red Wings honored Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau when they arrived at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, stepping off the bus wearing jerseys the Gaudreau brothers wore during their hockey careers.

The Stadium Series didn't deliver the Detroit Red Wings the two points they craved, but there was one undeniable star in the team's trip to Columbus: the specialty script "Detroit" jerseys the team broke out for the occasion.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings collectively held heavy hearts as they made their way to Ohio Stadium for their NHL Stadium Series matchup Saturday. Blue Jackets left wing Johnny Gaudreau tragically lost his life along with his brother Matthew in late August when they were struck by an alleged drunk driver while bicycling near their hometown in southern New Jersey.
