The wreckage of an FA-50 fighter jet and the bodies of two pilots were discovered in the Philippines following a recent crash.

The Philippine Air Force has grounded its 11 remaining FA-50 jets after one of its fighter aircraft crashed in the southern province of Bukidnon on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of two pilots.

"On the processes, tactics, techniques, and procedures being carried out for the mission — that's something we have to reassess also," the PAF spokesperson said.

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. wants an immediate probe on what happened to the the FA-50 fighter jet, which was found in Mt. Kalatungan, Bukidnon, ''Agarang imbestigasyon din po ang inutos ng ating Pangulo diyan,'' Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said at a press briefing.

The Philippine jet was engaged on a mission to help fight communist guerilla fighters in the country's south when it lost contact.

The FA-50 went missing during night anti-insurgency operations with other aircraft in the south of the country, with special forces locating the wreckage
