Hawkins has earned the respect of K-State fans over the past week. He has proven his toughness by returning from a serious injury after a three-game absence to lead the Wildcats to a gritty road win over Cincinnati. Then he gave K-State four points, nine rebounds and five assists in a losing effort against Iowa State.

Kansas State's basketball team faced an uphill battle anyway against No. 10 Iowa State. Turnover woes and ice-cold shooting didn't help at all.

No. 10 Iowa State travels to Kansas State in Big 12 play Saturday. Saturday's game will be the second meeting this season between the two teams.

Wisconsin basketball dropped to 23-8 (13-7 Big Ten) to close the regular season with an 86-75 loss to Penn State on Saturday.
