The 77th annual Orono-Old Town Kiwanis auction and yard sale returns to Orono on Friday. Volunteers have been hard at work organizing thousands of items throughout their barns on Forest Avenue.

Bangor’s soon to be retired fire chief appointed as Orono’s fire chief
Tom Higgins will soon take over as the Fire Chief in Orono. Town officials announced his appointment during a meeting last night. Higgins spoke with TV5 last week about his plans to retire.
