An Israeli delegation will travel to the Gulf state of Qatar on Monday to hold talks on the continuation of the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as Israel's electricity minister announced he was cutting deliveries to the enclave.

Israel said that it would send a delegation to Qatar on Monday "in an effort to advance the negotiations" around the ceasefire in Gaza, while U.S.-designated terror group Hamas reported "positive signals" in talks with Egyptian and Qatari mediators on starting negotiations on the truce's delayed second phase.

Both Israel and Hamas signal readiness for ceasefire negotiations this Sunday. After Hamas meets with mediators in Cairo, it is pushing to enter the second phase of the ceasefire deal. Israel, for its part,
