Six Russian tourists have died after a tourist submarine sank in the Red Sea near the Egyptian city of Hurghada. Thirty-nine other people were rescued after the vessel - the Sindbad - sank at about 10:00 local time (08:00 GMT), officials say. Nine are said to have been injured with four in critical condition.

At least six Russian tourists, two of them children, died when an Egyptian commercial submarine carrying 50 people sank in the Red Sea near the resort city of Hurghada. The Red Sea Governorate said the submarine had 50 people on board, 45 tourists and five crew, Reuters reported.
