Police in Oakland have launched a kidnapping investigation after a woman was captured on video being dragged into a vehicle near an East Oakland school Tuesday.

The Oakland police department is looking for the suspect and victim, both of whom are yet to be identified Authorities in California are looking for a woman they believe was kidnapped in an incident caught in a harrowing video.

The woman, who police said is between 20 and 22 years old, was walking in the 1800 block of 98th Avenue about 3:30 p.m., when a person tried to hit her with a car, according to a statement from Oakland police. That person next got out of the car, punched the woman several times and forcefully grabbed and forced her into it, police said.
