Monster Hunter Wilds had about a week or so as 2025’s best-scored video game, but now a new, much smaller title has come along to tick by it by a single point on Metacritic. That would be Split Fiction,

Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds will have new events rolling out weekly, with a mix of medium-difficult and high-difficulty quests on offer for players of all skill levels. Some of these quests will have precious resources – like crafting items, ingredients, and more – while others will offer unique armor pieces.

Monster Hunter Wilds was launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on February 28. Following the games launch announcement, Capcom promoted the appeal of Monster Hunter Wilds to a broad audience worldwide.
