No. 25 Missouri Wrestling placed eighth at the 2025 Big 12 Championship, which featured two wrestlers in the finals. O'Toole's title marks his second consecutive win during his time at Missouri.

It was the third Big 12 title for O'Toole (16-0), who claimed the 165-pound title in 2022 and 2024. He was voted the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the championship by the league’s coaches, becoming the first MU grappler to earn the distinction since 174-pounder Ben Askren in 2004.
