As free agency nears, Seattle agreed to deal DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh and Josh Allen landed a six-year, $330 million deal from the Bills with $250 million guaranteed.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will hit free agency with a ton of cap space to make hay and fill in the gaps. Even after the DK Metcalf trade, the Steelers still have a lot of room to work with and can fill in some of their largest holes.

Developing: the Steelers continue talking to Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, but…Aaron Rodgers has emerged as a quarterback option in Pittsburgh, per league sources. Rodgers and the Steelers are expected to talk and explore a union.

The Steelers and Jets have shown interest in signing Fields, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The Steelers reportedly also have interest in re-signing Russell Wilson or signing Aaron Rodgers, so it may come down to contract numbers rather than being a straightforward matter of the team's on-field preference.
