Oct 1, 2020 · ABC may have dropped Full House, but the show could've continued over at The WB (now rebranded as the CW) after the then-budding channel tried to pick it up for season 9. However, some of the cast members were already gearing up to move on from the sitcom.

Along with the above reason for the show's end, there's rumors of one or two season 9 episodes already taped before it was decided that Full House would end. Another explanation for why the show ended comes from Dave Coulier, who I asked the question per e-mail many years ago.
