This is a fretless, hollow body, semi-acoustic (therefore very light) bass from the famous Godin brand, known for its highly reputed craftsmanship, handmade in Canada. It is the model equipped with vibrating blades.

Jul 6, 2012 · I like the original Acoustibass better than any other fretless Godin has produced. Because of the light body, there is some neck dive, but that doesn't bother me. Strung with Thomastic flats, the sound is superb in my opinion.

May 10, 2007 · It has a great organic, phat tone, good feel, even the fretted version has an amazing acoustic tone, but the very fine LR Baggs 3-band pre-amp, through a good set-up (shall we say a Wizzy M-Line and a Neo-Pak) make this bass sound wonderful.
