Jul 21, 2019 · Certainly some Grand Slam (GS) aircraft were in standard camouflage (eg PD112 YZ-S which dropped the first GS in anger) but later aircraft (as far as my rummaging through references has shown, from PD114 onward) were in the day scheme.

The only Lancasters that apparently had a Light Earth/Light green scheme were the LancasterB.1 Specials used to carry and drop Tallboy and Grand Slam bombs by 617 Sqn, during daylight missions: there's some discussion of them here on Britmodeller.

Feb 14, 2017 · Googling "617 grand slam Lancaster" might be helpful! Briefly, 617 was the only squadron to carry the bomb on operations. The Lancasters adapted to carry it carried "YZ" squadron codes and most were in light eart / light green / LAG colours, as per your Cogi model.
