I didn't need the thing but he wouldn't remove it. He had the bike rack on the car in the showroom but I didn't purchase the bike rack. It isn't invisible either, it hangs below.

Jan 10, 2024 · And I suppose, at least for me, having the warning sound is a good thing lest I one day start to back up forgetting that the rack is on there extending the rear end further than usual. The rack is lighter (@40 lb) and a lot easier to put on and take off than I anticipated, so I probably won't be leaving it on when I'm not taking my bike out.

Even the cheaper Thule clip-and-strap model I use on our Honda Civic is well built and sturdy. I'm presuming that by purchasing through the official Subaru supply chain you'll be paying a premium price, though.

I can fit 5 bikes comfortably in the beds on my 2x4 handmade racks with Bike Tights holding the forks. BUT, if I had a 75 lb. eBike I'd be using the bumper mount too.
