The four Celestial Pillars are the Solar Pillar, the Vortex Pillar, the Nebula Pillar, and the Stardust Pillar. Judging by the gear craftable from the fragments that they drop when defeated, they represent the four damage types in Terraria: Solar for melee, Vortex for ranged, Nebula for magic, and Stardust for summon.

I'm using a Razorblade Typhoon, Tactical Shotgun, and Spectre Armor (mask and hood). Is there any specific order to fight these guys in to not die instantly? Stardust, Nebula, Vortex, Solar. I save the worst for first so I can just get it over with. And that would be the Solar pillar.

Jul 28, 2020 · I think for most pillars, you can just focusing on attacking and dodging enemies. Having the nimbus rod setup on top of the pillar when its shield is down, while you focus on surviving, would usually kill it. Solar pillar is the worst since some enemy can reflect your shots and can approach you off screen.
If you die during the pillar fights, do they regen their shields?
As for the pillars, just make sure to place banners from the pillar enemies around where they spawned and next time they should be a little easier on you (especially once you have some pillar gear on your side).
