Jun 12, 2020 · No, Corruption/Crimson or Hallow overlaps will invalidate most biomes for NPCs. I moved my dye trader to the desert, but when hardmode started and eventually took over the spot, they no longer talk about how much they like being in the desert despite it still being a desert albeit with Hallowed properties.

Jun 28, 2020 · The next thing to consider is to have perfectly controlled mini-biomes so that the biome is only active in the location of a particular npc. Say you have two npcs who like differenf biomes but like each other. Just make sure the biomes change somewhere between the 2 npcs.
