USS COD - Hours of Operation
USS Cod is open for self-guided tours from 10 am to 5 pm every day of the week from April 1 to November 30 and most non-holidays in winter -- weather and staff permitting. Ice on deck is cause for closing access to the submarine.

Cod is now docked in Lake Erie at Cleveland, Ohio and is maintained and operated as a memorial to the more than 3900 submariners who lost their lives during the 100 year history of the United States Navy Submarine Force. The public is invited to visit the boat daily between May 1 and September 30 each year.

COD's engines were built in Cleveland, Ohio by the Cleveland Diesel Division of General Motors. At the forward end of the room are the two fresh water distilling plants. Each of these can produce up to forty gallons of very pure water per hour.
