Feb 23, 2025 · I'd take the GOAT light heavyweight. More complete and varied offensive fighter. Bivol is rather simplistic comparatively, although he does what he does very well. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't walk away from the Beterbiev/Bivol fights thinking they were top-level historical LHWs (although they're both fantastic hall of fame level guys).

Oct 14, 2024 · Bivol took some decent physical punishment in that contest which he will carry around with him the rest of his career in my opinion, whilst Beterbiev didn't seem to wilt for a moment. Even when Beterbiev seemed to let Bivol unload it seemed like he was just giving Bivol the opportunity to tire with no real concern of getting hurt.

Oct 12, 2024 · It was a close fight between two evenly matched elite fighters. Based on my scoring I had Bivol up by two points (as did many others) but I readily concede there were many basically even/swing rounds and there is a very reasonable way to score it a draw or even a close win for Beterbiev.

Feb 23, 2025 · Bivol by close decision. Bivol has ample experience fighting and sparring with southpaws from his amateur days, hence he handled Zurdo relatively easily. Calzaghe is quicker and has a high work rate but i think he is vulnerable to the straight right. Bivol will find a way to win a close decision. Bivol UD, 7-5.

May 9, 2022 · Ward would be favored but I would give Bivol a decent shot. Bivol did just as good against Barrera as Ward did. Ward doesn't have great power. Very few in the boxing world gave Bivol a shot except Bradly, Diaz and Atlas against Canelo. Mayweather put 10k on him.

Oct 12, 2024 · I didn’t score rounds, but it really felt like Bivol pretty much out boxed Beterbiev for a large majority of the fight with like 2 or 3 shaky moments… It seemed to me that Bivol won clearly in a competitive bout. Interesting how different people’s perspectives can be. When I heard the decision, I felt like it was a robbery.

Sep 25, 2024 · Dmitry Bivol is a woman-beater like Floyd Mayweather, which I think is despicable. So I will be rooting for Artur Beterbiev. Beterbiev is the more exciting fighter anyway, although Bivol is a brilliant technical boxer.
