Jan 28, 2025 · My iPad is currently on software version 14.8.1 and the only update I have available is iPadOS 18.3 and this keeps failing saying it’s unable to install the update. My iPad is 7th generation so it might not be compatible with iPadOS 18 but i’m hoping there’s a way to update it from iPadOS 14 to a newer software if iPadOS is incompatible.

Oct 22, 2024 · The iPad will shut down regardless of charge level, more-or-less at random; First occurrence happened when plugged in over night, but it did not appear to have charged; Had to use the "If your iPad won't turn on or is frozen" page to get it to come back on, at which point it was at 3% battery.

Apr 12, 2014 · 1) Placed my iPad in the freezer door for 45 mins. 2) With the iPad ice cold and forced to stay *off* thanks to the sensor, I plugged in the charger. 3) iPad booted after 15 mins when the temperature sensor felt it was safe to boot. 4) When it booted it had 23% power.
