Though its epicentre was nearly 200 kilometres away, locals felt the shake of a 4.5-magnitude earthquake off the shore of Washington state southeast of Victoria.
Work begins soon on Harrison primary care facility
2 days ago · Harrison Hot Springs will soon be home to a primary care facility. A Monday (March 3) report from the village's director of operations Jace Hodgson said the village has awarded a $156,000 contract to Kurts Construction for renovations at 160 Lillooet Ave., the future home of a much-needed primary care facility for the village.

Harrison mayor declares state of local emergency
May 21, 2024 · Harrison Hot Springs Mayor Ed Wood has declared a State of Local Emergency (SOLE) for the village. The declaration on Tuesday (May 21) morning relates to the threat of wildfires, with the mayor stating that the threat of interface wildfire poses an imminent threat to loss of life and property within the village’s boundaries.
