Hi! I had a question, Is regular Skype closing down too or just the business for skype. I've tried to find alternates already but I just would like some clarification is the regular Skype is going to shutdown too.

May 25, 2017 · The alternative to this is uninstalling the Skype for Windows 10 App and installing the latest Skype for Windows Desktop release. I personally leave both installed and sign out of the Skype for Windows 10 App to default to using the Desktop release.

I can see the app trying to call, hear the ringing, but then the window suddenly closes -- possibly when the other person picks up, possibly just when it has rung a certain amount of time (I can't tell which).

My Skype version is 12.1803.279.0 and my computer is using windows 10 pro version 1709. Skype close itself in any situation: in an audio call, in a chat conversation, while it is in the menu page, with no contact selected and when i'm not even using it. I tried in the 2 internet connection that I have and the problem is the same.
