U-Haul and Moving Help are technically separate companies, but owned by the same umbrella corp Amerco. That's why even though you see ads and can schedule Moving Help through U-Haul's site, any U-Haul employee can't help you much with anything Moving Help related, much less knows much about it.

The last U-Haul I drove was a 26 footer with a gutless gas engine, a very difficult to shift manual transmission, and a failing cooling system. Hopefully there aren't any of those left that you may have to deal with!

Oct 7, 2020 · U-Haul acts as escrow. U-Haul is not the one providing the service, but rather facilitating payment and offering the directory service. Scheduling and the services performed are entirely up to the moving help service provider. If you're not happy with the services they've provided, do not give them the payment code.

We had good luck hiring moving help from the U-Haul website even when we didn’t use U-Haul. They listed the companies so easy enough to find contact info. for where we’re living to where we were moving with reviews.

For example, U-Haul believes the deck of their trucks, being "the lowest decks in the do it yourself moving industry," are worth something.

Jul 10, 2023 · In two months I will be moving from Oregon to Arizona. When I moved here from AZ a year ago, U-Haul charged me less than 400 dollars for a one-way trailer. Now they are asking for almost triple that. Im pretty solid on using a trailer to move. any cheaper suggestions?
